As you may or may not know, Matt Brown will be arriving in Seattle sometime next week to begin his training camp for his upcoming fight in UFC 111. He will be facing the well respected and veteran fighter Ricardo Almeida at 170lbs.

This will be Almeida’s first fight at 170 I believe (although I could be wrong) but his strength and conditioning coach is Martin Rooney, a guy I’ve known for many years and have great respect for, and I’m sure Martin will have him in top condition and ready to fight.

Ricardo is always dangerous because of his ground game so we expect a tough fight. I think it will also be an exciting fight for the fans and I will make sure that Matt is ready to push a relentless pace from bell to bell. Matt is an extremely hard worker and is very dedicated to his training. His nutritional planning is very detailed and he’s very strict with his diet year round. I’m looking forward to this training camp and will be posting pictures and videos weekly on the site of him getting ready to fight.

We also currently have two Japanese fighters in town that Dream has sent over to train. Both were here previously before the holidays and are back for another three months of hard training. We’ve been making them swim this week and even though they suck at swimming and almost drown, they are giving it their best. Rich should be coming in town sometime in March to train as well.

On another note, look for an email soon about the upcoming changes to the site and exciting new developments with my long awaited online training program…
